Four years and look out…

Hi Everyone,

A certain surprise memory occurred for me today… Four years ago today, I received my first book review request from an author!!! I can’t believe it has been four years… With everything that has happened, and through all the bumps along the way, I wanted to say, I am truly grateful for your continued support. THANK YOU! You all have kept me going and I appreciate each and everyone of you.

Now hold onto your beach hats, because several reviews are headed your way!

Enjoy!

Let’s Discuss…

Hi Everyone,

It is a holiday weekend, which means an extra day of reading!

Do you like to read books in theme with the holiday? Do you savor a favorite title during your break or pick up a wish list book to enjoy?

As for me, I like to seize the opportunity to read a wish list book. If I can match it to the holiday, that’s an added bonus for me, but it isn’t necessary. I just like to think of a long, weekend as the ideal time to try and shorten the length of the ever growing wish list!!! 😉

What type of books do you read on a long weekend?

Enjoy!

Today was a hot and perfect day for reading on the beaches of SC, I however was at work. Therefore, tonight, I will be squeezing in a chapter of The Autobiography of Mrs. Tom Thumb by Melanie Benjamin, before the fireworks start.

What books are you reading today?

Let’s Discuss…

Hi Everyone,

Happy Memorial Day! Thank you to all those who lost their lives, defending our freedoms.

Last month’s Read with Ariesgrl was a bit of a disappointment, thanks to Barnes and Noble not sharing the final chapter in their serial read selection. For the month of June, I decided to dive into my never-ending wish list to find a good suspense/mystery read. I have narrowed it down to The Templar Legacy by Steve Berry and Cuckoo’s Calling by Robert Galbraith. Both titles are the first in a series and each have their own unique spin on suspense. We have a couple of days left before June 1st, to decide. So which one of these titles sounds like a fun June read to you?

Enjoy!

Read with Ariesgrl

Hi Everyone,

It seems that this month’s serial read (available through the Barnes and Noble app) ended rather quickly. Normally readers get one (or more) chapters a day, with a couple of days at the end of the month, to catch up, but this month’s story ended on the twentieth. Despite the fact that the main characters wrapped up their stories, I was left hanging. I felt the ending to Redemption Bay by RaeAnne Thayne, was very rushed. Well, it turns out that Barnes and Noble failed to give us the Epilogue. WHAT?!?!?!

So I suggest to all of you, who are reading this book with me, to go to your nearest Used Bookstore and/or Library and pick up the book to read the final chapter. Yes, I still think the overall ending was rushed, but at least now I feel better knowing how the future will treat these characters that I have grown to like.

What are your thoughts on this book? Do you have any suggestions for next month’s selection?

Enjoy!
