The House on Sunshine Corner

By: Phoebe Mills

(The Sunshine Corner #1)

Abby Engel is making her dreams come true. She lives in the home that was her childhood safe spot, with her grandmother. She owns Sunshine Corner, watching the town’s adorable children, while prepping to open a preschool. The only thing left in her master plan, is a family to call her own. Carter Hayes has returned home, only for a few weeks, to help his sister. He is determined not to be trapped in the small town, because his dreams are close to happening in Las Vegas. However, when he is thrown in the path of his ex-girlfriend, Carter begins to question everything. Will these two driven people find a way to come together, or are they destined for heartbreak, once again?

This debut novel is adorable. The entire cast of characters is lovely, and readers will be anxious for updates on everyone, in book two. Phoebe Mills does a good job, showing the other side of sunshine, with pregnancy, owning a small business, and chasing dreams. Though a tad repetitive at times, the story is impossible to put down. Readers will be rooting for the main characters. This is a must-read for fans of small-town romance.
