Hi Everyone,
I am ashamed to admit this… I took the quiz and it turns out that I have only read 18 out of 100 books on the Great American Read list. However, sadly, it is true. I took several literature courses in school, therefore I have read numerous excerpts from most of the other titles… but I have only read 18, from cover to cover. (I am currently working to change that!) How many have you read?
There are a lot of great books on the list, but a few missing titles surprised me. Nancy Drew is not included! (Neither are the Hardy Boys, but I was always a Nancy Drew girl.) I mean, didn’t we all spend our childhoods solving mysteries with our favorite friends? Recent novels that I am sure will be on the next Great Challenge… Wonder by Palacio and The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. What great novels do you feel are missing from the list?
