“October had tremendous possibility. The summer’s oppressive heat was a distant memory, and the golden leaves promised a world full of beautiful adventures. They made me believe in miracles.”
~Sarah Guillory, book Reclaimed
You all, I am exhausted, but ever so grateful. October 1st brought a miracle of cooler weather and sunshine to let the cleanup begin. Seeing my neighbors, this evening, bringing out furniture and clothes has been devastating. The water has receded and the healing is beginning. My family and my neighbors in the building were blessed. Our cleanup paled in comparison. I am hoping a drive will be started soon, to help replace everything that was lost. In the meantime, donate to the Red Cross if you can and find organizations that are helping those affected by natural disasters. At the least, thoughts and prayers, have always been a positive thing.
On a brighter note, October has 31 days in it, and my goal is 31 reviews this month. However, it is not happening today. Tonight is about rest. Hopefully tomorrow, I will pick up a book again.
Tell me what you all have been reading this weekend?
