Hi Everyone,
During last night’s Great American Read, they discussed Heroes. My Mom declared that I must like heroes, because I knew more about this selection of books, than last week’s topic. Unlike last week, there was not a single book that jumped out and said, READ ME NOW. However, there were two books that have been on my wish list for years.
Books that I have read and enjoyed:
The Hunger Games series
The Alex Cross series (I have read some, not all)
The Help (I am in the middle of it right now, and I loved the movie)
The Giver
Books that I have read, but did not like:
1984 (This has to with the fact that 3 years of school equalled 5 Orwell projects. I was beyond done with all Orwell books.)
Charlotte’s Web (I was shocked! I loved the movie, but Mom says I did not like the book. So now I need to read it as an adult, so I know why.)
Books that I want to read:
The Hunt for Red October
Don Quixote (I read passages for various Lit classes, but I want to read the whole thing.)
