Panthera Series #1 By Melissa R. Smith. Format: eBook. Read: August 2012.
Lexa is a young girl at a park with her family, when she spots a big, black, friendly panther. She offers him a sandwich, but her Uncle appears and tries to convince her to back away. Her Mom calls everyone to come and eat, so Lexa says goodbye to this friendly panther. Flash forward twenty years, and Lexa Gordon is on an adventure to capture pictures and take a temporary break from her life. Unfortunately it is snowing, and she is driving recklessly, so when she crashes, she only has herself to blame. In hopes of finding help, she goes on a long walk and spots a pretty waterfall, and as she takes a closer look she falls and passes out. Lexa wakes up later in a dark and toasty room. Katrine is a young woman who helps Lexa heal. Katrine is the maid of a mysterious man, who does not want his identity revealed to Lexa. Quinn Mackellar has his reasons for wanting to maintain his privacy, but for some strange reason he can’t stay away from Lexa. When he realizes the reason why, he must make the hardest decision of both his and Lexa’s lives.

This is the first book that I have read by Melissa R. Smith, and I can honestly say that I am now a lifelong fan. I knew that this book had the power to sweep me away, after just the first twenty pages. Unfortunatly I do not have the same lifestyle where I can place everything and everyone on hold while I read, but I was still able to complete this book in less than two days. Have you ever been swept away by a book? Have you ever been so caught up in a story that you are truely sad when it ends?
Enjoy!

Hi Ariesgrl!,
This sounds like it would be perfect for me! I just love paranormal/ fantasy romances. My absolute favorite fantasy romance is Lara by Bertrice Small. It had a little bit of everything; I was barelt able to put it down!
