Today has been cold, dreary and rainy, aka the perfect winter day for reading. (A rarity in the South.) The boys and I stayed cuddled under the blanket for the majority of the day. I read Deadly Attraction by Misty Evans. Tomorrow morning, my review will be live and there will be a giveaway that you will want to see! Tonight, I am finishing The Eyes Have It by Julie Allan and The Mother’s Promise by Sally Hepworth.
What are you reading?
“Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.”
It has been a bitter cold week for much of the United States. I actually dug out my scarves and gloves that I hadn’t seen in close to four years! I saw this quote and it reminded me of the peaceful, snowy nights. For me, snow always meant magic was happening. It was some rare, beautiful and serene. To experience such cold temps this week without any snow, seemed wrong. However the cold gave many a great excuse to stay indoors, snuggled up under a blanket and reading a good book! (As if we ever really need another excuse to read!)
Stay safe and warm during this winter day!
