My Sister’s Books Review #70

Murder of a Bookstore Babe
By: Denise Swanson
Scumble River #13

The new bookstore in town has caused a ruckus amongst town members. Skye Denison is excited about the new store, until she discovers a body buried under a bookshelf. Now she must find out who did it before anyone else gets hurt. Will this be the end of Scumble River’s controversial bookstore?

Readers will love the names of the chapters in this book, as each is a play on famous book titles. There are numerous characters in this small town mystery. Although it alludes to previous events, this book can be read as a stand-alone. Despite being predictable, this is a fun, light-hearted story to read.

Enjoy!
