What the Body Needs

By: Laura Oliva

Jak O’Mara has done everything she can to put the past behind her. She doesn’t want any reminders of that horrific attack. Marcus Cutter still can’t forgive himself for the loss of his sister and he left everything behind to live a life he thinks he deserves. Now assigned as a bodyguard, the woman he is meant to protect is not what he expects. How will these two put their pasts behind them in order to save Jak’s life in the present?

This story has an explosive and intriguing start that will hook readers right away. Chocked full of details, readers will be able to see and smell the Californian sites. Multiple points-of-view add to the intrigue, while each character’s back story gives more relatable vibes. This book is cruder and gruffer than the author’s previous story. There are some repetitious scenes and a few minor typos. However it is nice to see the once victimized female lead become a warrior. Overall the suspense will keep readers guessing until the very last page.

Enjoy!
