In Loving Memory

Hi Everyone,

On April 17th, my Grandfather was admitted to the local hospital… After a few weeks worth of extremely difficult times, my Grandfather finally found peace on May 5th. Though my family and I are grateful that he is no longer suffering or being tortured by the horrific disease known as Alzheimer’s, we still miss him dearly. We are back to taking each day as it comes, as we all, including the dogs, try to adjust to life here at home without him.

As you all know, I have been my grandfather’s caregiver for the past several years. I started this website as a way to stay connected to the outside world, while living in the Alzheimer’s realm. I cannot express in words how quiet my home is now, nor how much my heart aches each minute of every day. I am grateful for the love and support from my family and friends, as I know the healing process will take time.

I also appreciate all of your support and understanding over the years, especially while I have been absent over this past month. I send you all my sincerest apologies for my absence. Over the course of the next few weeks, I will be working hard to get caught up on emails and blog posts. I will also be updating the pages on here, especially the About Me page, as I start this new chapter in life.  I have always trusted in the healing powers of books and I look forward to continuing to share my experiences and reviews with all of you.

Hugs to you all. Thank you again for your continued support.

Sincerely,
~Ariesgrl

Been thinking about you a these last several weeks, Nicole. Thank you for sharing a part of your life that is so personal and allowing those of us that are not able to be with you physically supporting you in hugs to pray over you and your family. I have enjoyed getting to know you and will continue my prayers as you go through the grieving and healing process.
