Summer Reading and Fireworks

Hi Everyone,

I want to wish a Happy Belated Birthday to America!!! I hope each of you had a wonderful and safe 4th of July. As for me, well my little Ozzy is terrified of fireworks, so I was up all night trying to keep him calm and since it is a weekend again, there is sure to be more fireworks each night. However it is officially summer and I would like to know what everyone is reading… Do you have plans for summer romance books, heated action and mysteries, or are you keeping it light-hearted and funny? Is it just me or does it seem that each season tends to have a different genre of books to be read? Summer has always been about the vacation-esque books, the easy-to-read and the ones that give your mind a relaxing break. Do you have any favorites you like to read during the heated, long days of summer? As for me, I plan on reading several books this weekend. As of today, I started reading a romance book from The List and a beach novel set in France from the My Sister’s Books List.

If you are a fan of memoirs, you are in luck. Taking Flight is an emotional and riveting memoir and it is currently this week’s featured book. The author, Sarah Solmonson, has been generous enough to donate a paperback copy of her book for this week’s A Year in Review. So head on over to the post and leave a comment for your chance to win. Contest ends at 11:59pm EDT tonight and winner will be announced tomorrow. Good luck to you all!!!

Enjoy!
