Jazz

By: Cristian Mihai. Format: eBook. Read: September 2012.

Two cousins, one girl and the romantic city of Paris. It sounds like the perfect setting for love or heartbreak. Chris, an aspiring writer, decides to go back to Paris and find Amber, he still hopes to be able to bring her back. As he realizes the truth about Amber his heart is breaking, and at first it is the obvious curse. Until it hits him, he has been set free … to write.

The tale of two cousins falling for the same girl is told through the voice of a want-to-be writer as he is on the agonizing journey to find his unique writing style. Mihai writes with amazing details that will place readers directly in the smoky, dark bar rooms or in the bright, packed streets of Paris. Mihai exhibits talent as he tells his story through key flashbacks, that allows the reader to experience the tale more intimately through Chris’s thoughts. Readers will enjoy this fresh writing style and modern-take, on a classic tale.

For the writers and artists out there, what struggles did you face as you searched to find your style? Did something finally set you free from the pressure, like the main character, Chris? Have you read one of Cristian Mihai’s works?

Enjoy!
